Carter Park is an easy “walk up and slide down” sledding hill that is both safe and exciting. Grab a sled or a tube and head out for some old fashioned winter fun.

The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 offers free shuttle service to anywhere in Breckenridge, so forget the car and catch a ride to Carter Park. If you prefer to drive, follow Ski Hill Road into town and proceed through two stoplights across Main Street where Ski Hill Road turns into Lincoln Street. Go east on Lincoln Street for four blocks, then turn right on High Street and follow it for three blocks. High Street dead-ends at Carter Park where there is plenty of parking available. Snow tubes and sleds are available for purchase at City Market and Food Kingdom grocery stores.

Want to enhance your sledding experience? Try tubing at one of Summit County’s established tubing hills. Tubing is sledding with an attitude. Huge hills, banks, rollers and tons of speed are what make tubing a sheer adrenaline rush. Call ahead for reservations because tubing is very popular and fills fast.

Keystone’s Adventure Point: Keystone has the biggest, baddest tubing hill in Summit County and it even has its own tubing lift that you can enjoy during the day or under the lights. With a unique state-of-the-art conveyor lift, the amount of runs you do is up to you. Get ready to laugh until it hurts in this must-do experience for all ages.

Copper’s Coca-Cola Tubing Hill: The Coca-Cola Tubing Hill is located in the East Village at the base of the Super Bee lift and opens in early December.

The Frisco Adventure Park Tubing Hill: This is a great place for kids to be kids and adults to be kids again! The hill features lengthy 1,200 foot tubing lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night.
